Non-essential service shutdown

In line with the new government regulations surrounding “non-essential” businesses, Hive Active will be in shutdown mode from 12pm Monday 23rd March 2020.

What this means for our Members

Hive@Home
We will be moving to 100% online program delivery for all our adult and teen members. Launched last week, Hive@Home is available through Wodify and is available to all our active members. Hive@Home includes:

  • Daily workouts that will challenge you that you can do at home.
  • Daily workout tips from our Head Coach, Flo, that will be posted on Instagram @hiveactive the night before.
  • Coaching support from our HA coaching crew via phone calls and emails. This will include a dedicated coach who will check-in with you throughout the shutdown period to answer questions, give coaching advice and provide general support.
  • On loan equipment will be available as part of the Hive@Home programming. There will be a day arranged for members that will allow for a staggered pickup of equipment that can be used in the Hive@Home workouts. More information about this will be emailed through in the coming days.
  • Challenges for you to do at home that can be shared through our closed HAC Facebook group. If you haven’t joined this group yet, please send a Facebook request and our team will add you.

To assist you with working out at home, we recommend you use the following apps:

  • SmartWOD Timer – a great way to time your workouts, with options for EMOMs and  AMRAPs.
  • WODProof – a good app for videoing your workouts so you can share them with the HA crew.

CrossFit Kids

Merryn and Jess will be emailing out some fun workouts to do at home that will include practicing skills that were taught this Term, as well as some fun workouts and challenges to burn energy 😉

CrossFit Teens

All CrossFit Teen members will be able to utilise Hive@Home for the remainder of Term 1 (until Thursday 9th April, 2020) via Wodify.

Membership changes

Inshan, Merryn and the HA coaching team are very grateful for your continued support. We’ve really appreciated all the personal shout outs we’ve received in the last week from members confirming their support in the event of a shutdown. We also understand that this is a very difficult time and that some of our members may find it challenging to continue their support. If this is the case for you, please reach out to us and we will do our best to support you in return.

Moving forward

If you have any questions or concerns about the move to Hive@Home, please speak to your coaches in your check-in sessions, call Inshan on 9416 7723 or email train@hiveactive.com.au

Stay safe and we’ll see you in the online space – we’ll be cheering you on from afar.
