HA Crossfit

At the core of Hive Active are our HA CrossFit training sessions. Delivered by our team of skilled coaches in a great team atmosphere, HA CrossFit workouts are scaled to your fitness level and combine high intensity, strength and conditioning, and functional movement training.

We place strong emphasis on educating you about movement and technique to ensure you are working, strengthening and releasing the right muscles at the right time. We also monitor the load and intensity of everyone’s workouts to ensure you are working to your ability and not beyond it. This includes working with members who are recovering from injury or ill-health.

While all our workouts can be scaled we have two levels of CrossFit training sessions; Fundamentals and Athlete.

  • Fundamentals – Whether you’re starting out, recovering from injury or an elite athlete, there’s fundamental functional movements you need to master. Our Fundamental classes focus on technique, form and fun.
  • Athlete – (listed in the schedule as “CrossFit”) If you love to push yourself to the max, then our next level in CrossFit training is for you. While there is still a focus on technique and form, our coaches (and your co-members) will have you pushing for that next PB, whether it’s for time, weight or max rep.

Our HA CrossFit sessions incorporate:

  • Warm-up & mobility
  • Strength component
  • WOD – workout of the day
  • Specific Core Drills
  • Stretching & Myofascial release work

What you need to bring to training

Please bring a towel and drink bottle to each session. You may also like to bring your own hand grips or weight gloves.

Join HA CrossFit

We make it as easy as possible to join in our HA CrossFit sessions by offering participation across a number of membership options:

  • Unlimited – HA CrossFit is included in Hive Active’s Unlimited Membership which gives you access to all our classes and open gym.
  • Twice the fun – Choose HA CrossFit sessions for one or both of your two class options in our Twice a Week Membership.
  • Casual/drop in – If you can’t make it regularly or are just in the area for a short time, our casual rate is $30. Please contact us prior to attending a session to ensure there is space in the class.
