Delivered by our team of skilled CrossFit trainers in a great team atmosphere, our classes are 100% scalable, meaning that whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned CrossFit athlete you will be challenged at your fitness and ability level but not pushed beyond it.

For newbies, our coaches will place emphasis on form and technique to ensure you master the basics. For experienced CrossFit athletes chasing a high intensity rush, our coaches will be helping you push for that next PB; whether it’s for time, weight or max rep.

In line with the CrossFit philosophy our class programming involves constantly varied, high intensity functional movement to ensure you get a great sweat on and never get bored.

We keep our class sizes small, allowing you quality time with our coaches.

For our adult members, we offer a 7 day schedule providing a variety of strength and conditioning, metcon, skills and stretch + mobility sessions to give you a balanced and healthy approach to fitness.

We have no contracts and no joining fees and invite new adult members to get started with a free 7 day trial (not available to out-of-area visitors).

FAQs

  • We don’t believe in membership contracts. We want you to stay and continue to train at Hive Active because you love it and because you get results. If you need to exit your membership, or if you think Hive Active is not right for you, no problems. You can cancel at any time. No hassles. You just need to provide 2 weeks notice as your membership fees are deducted fortnightly.

  • We know that getting started with healthier choices can be really tough, and many people usually fail on their promises to get fit, and some even have countless attempts to keep healthy. That’s why we don’t charge sign up fees. We want to make your journey to starting at Hive Active as easy as possible.

  • Unlike many gyms, we actually care when you can’t come to class. You’re more than a number or another ‘customer’ to us. We’re together on this journey to become healthier and fitter, and we simply love sharing life with our community. Come in for your first class and not only will you see our incredible community, but also feel what it’s like to become part of our team and family. At Hive Active, it’s always people first and fitness follows.

  • Hive Active uses Stripe as our payment gateway and membership fees are direct debited fortnightly/

  • Hive Active absorbs the fees associated with payment processing through Stripe and also our onsite EFTPOS terminal. Please ensure there are sufficient funds in your account at the time of your fortnightly direct payment to avoid any dishonour fees (currently $3).

  • You are able to put your membership on hold for two to four weeks if you are injured, busier than usual or expecting to spend time out of town. Please email your request two weeks in advance of your hold period and we will arrange to suspend your payments. We’ll need a start and finish date as we will automatically restart your membership when your hold period is complete.

    Please note: we can only put a membership on hold for a maximum of four weeks. Anything more is considered a cancellation, which will be carried out in accordance with our normal cancellation terms. Of course, we would love for you to come back and will be happy to discuss renewing your membership at any time.

  • To cancel your membership, please notify us via email at least two weeks before you plan to stop coming to Hive Active. Once submitted, our friendly team will contact you to arrange your cancellation.

    Any cancelled members wishing to re-join will re-commence on the membership rate at the time of rejoining.

  • If you’re an experienced CrossFitter who is travelling from out of town then we would love to host you. Please see our current casual class and weekly pass pricing above, and ensure there is availability in the class you wish today - i.e. you must book into a class in advance and not just turn up.

  • Yes, we offer a free trial to residents of the local community who want to try Hive Active for the first time. Simply click on the Free Trial class button above and we will be in contact to organise your No Sweat Intro and first class. After you have attended your free class we encourage you to become part of the community so you can make the most of what our gym has to offer.

  • Please bring a towel and drink bottle to each session. You may also like to bring your own hand grips, chalk or weight gloves and any other training supports (strapping, weight belts, skipping ropes etc) that you like to use.
