GROUP TRAINING FOR TEENS
Constantly varied, functional movement at a challenging intensity
Our CrossFit Teens program is designed to empower our junior members aged 13-17 years with healthy fitness habits whilst having fun, burning energy, and learning physical skills and functional movements.
By teaching the skills and principles of movement in a team environment, we help Teens become physically and mentally robust, and also establish the life skills needed for the rigours of teen life.
January 2025 CrossFit Teens Holiday Program
Helping teen athletes become fitter, faster, stronger
7-23 January 2025
Developed for athletic teens 13yrs+ who want to improve their explosivity, strength and overall fitness, our CrossFit Teens Holiday program runs for 3 weeks, with 2 x 60-minute high intensity sessions per week.
Limited to a small group of participants to ensure quality coaching time, think of this as a turbo charged version of our regular teens program. Teens can expect to develop skills, strengths and abilities across a range of lifting, cardiovascular and gymnastics movements, designed to challenge their metabolic conditioning threshold and improve overall movement standards.
What to bring: towel, drink bottle, willingness to train hard
Session times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30am - 10:30am
Cost: $150 (enrol using link below)
Additional info: Casual visits - $30 per session and subject to availability. Email us to book a casual visit.
10-week term program
Our CrossFit Teens classes incorporate gymnastics, strength work (scaled accordingly) and metabolic conditioning, and focus on 3 fundamental aspects of functional movement; bio-mechanics, consistency in execution, and intensity.
Given the scalability of our workouts, our classes are ideal for all levels of fitness, from teens looking to improve their general physical well-being, to those looking to gain an edge in their chosen sport.
Our 2024 CrossFit Teens term 4 finishes Friday 13th December.
2024 classes are 55 minutes in duration and run on Wednesdays and Fridays 4:30pm-5:30pm. Teens who are interested in joining us in 2025 are welcome to do a trial class on Fridays until the end of term. Bookings are essential.
Our 2025 CrossFit Teens term dates are as follows:
Term 1 (10 weeks): Monday 3 February – Friday 11 April
Term 2 (10 weeks): Monday 28 April – Friday 4 July
Term 3 (10 weeks): Monday 21 July – Friday 26 September
Term 4 (9 weeks): Monday 14 October – Friday 19 December
Our 2025 classes are 55 minutes in duration and run on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 4:30pm-5:30pm.
New junior members are invited to get started with a free trial class. Located next to Roseville train station and bus stops, Hive Active is easy for teens to get to themselves and we offer both in term and school holiday programs.

Absolutely. We want all our CrossFit Teens to be comfortable at Hive Active so they can get fit, stay fit and have fun.
We offer a free trial CrossFit Teens class for our in term program to any teen in the local community who wants to try Hive Active before signing up for the first time. Simply complete the Free Trial class registration form and we’ll be in touch to book you in for your first class.
Teens are also welcome to bring a friend, but all participants must have completed a registration form by their parent or guardian prior to attending their first class. After your teen has attended their free class we encourage you to become part of the community so you can make the most of what our gym has to offer.

All junior members should wear comfortable sportswear (sneakers, shirt and shorts) and bring a towel and drink bottle to each session. Teens may also like to bring their own hand grips or skipping rope to use during class.

Our CrossFit Teens program is based on the NSW school term and are generally 10 weeks long, except for term 4 which is 9 weeks long, with each CrossFit Teens session running for 55 minutes.

Teens get sick or occasionally have competing priorities just like us, so we offer our junior members the opportunity to do a catch up class on the same or following week of their absence.
Teens need to cancel their class reservation for the class they can’t make first, and then they book their catch-up class. If they require alternative options, please email us the request.

If a Teen hasn’t reserved a place in class and arrives to find the class fully booked, it will be at the coaches discretion as to whether it is safe for the Teen to participate. If a Teen arrives for class without a reservation and there is space available, they will be able to participate.

It’s really bad form to reserve a place in class and not show up. Not only does it affect how the coach plans each session, but it also means that someone else will have missed the opportunity to train if the class was listed as full.
